Homemade Electric Sitar Demo

This demo has Mike McGee playing my  homemade electric sitar
to the Steely Dan tune Do it Again.
A big thank you to Mike for his expert playing!

Arts and Crafts Dreadnaught Glued and Strung up

Got the neck and bridge glued in place and
the guitar bridge and nut are adjusted
for decent action.

Intonation is spot on, action is correct, no dead spots,
notes sustain very well.

Bottom line, it sounds like a Martin Dreadnaught with
Mahogany sides and back. No surprise here.

Electric Sitar

Economy electric guitar sitar project built using mismatched 1960's Harmony guitar body and neck coupled with a Gotoh electric sitar buzz bridge.
Add to the mix my 4 decades old first handmade guitar pickup and you get electric sitar goodness!

Acoustic Guitar Build Pre Glue

The lacquer is polished well enough and I can now move on to gluing the neck and bridge plate
to the body. Here are few pre glue ops photos.

Les Paul Top CNC Trial Run

First test run of g code code for a Les Paul Guitar Top.
Using Spruce for this test run on my CNC machine.
Code is not optimized for this run that took a little over an hour.
Expect the operation to take a little over a half hour once the code is
optimized for a larger diameter router bit.

Acoustic Guitar Build

Purchased a kitted Martin Parts Dreadnaught.
Nice woods like Ebony fretboard and bridge, highly figured mahogany for the back and sides.
Very nice spruce for the top.
Shown in various stages of assembly and finishing
