Gibson Moderne 1982 serial number 001

The Gibson Moderne is an electric guitar model first designed by Gibson in 1957. It was designed alongside the Flying V and Explorer-"Futura" as part of a stylistically advanced line of electric guitars. However, unlike the Flying V and Explorer, the Moderne was not put into production until 1982. Because few if any prototypes were made in the 1950s, and no authenticated example is known to exist, the hypothetical 1958 Moderne has been called both the "Holy Grail" and the "Loch Ness Monster" of collectible guitars.

Bristol Audio Combo "The Machine"

The 3 channel tube preamp section of my Bristol Audio Devices "The Machine" combo guitar amplifier.

The preamp has 3 unique preamp styles,

- A Fender Blackface Channel
- A Marshall Plexi Channel
- A Mesa Boogie Mark 1 Channel

The channel selection is straightforward.
One switch to choose between clean Blackface or Distorted Channel.
A second switch selects between which of the 2 distorted channels is selected

Bristol Audio Dumble Overdrive

Another custom designed vacuum tube guitar amplifier I was commissioned to build for Michael McGee. My take on a circuit design made popular by Howard Dumble.

27th Annual Skagit Valley WA Tulip Festival

April 2010 visit to north of Seattle's Skagit Valley Tulip Festival with darling daughter.

This area has one of the only two Der Wienerschnitzels in WA state!

Probably a good thing...

Demo Tunes from the 1990's

In the 1990's I was commissioned by Roland Japan to create and program sounds/samples/programs in support of their following audio products.

VG-8 Virtual Guitar
S770 Digital Sampler
MS-1 Sampler

Here are a few short demo tunes created at that time using the samples and programs with the Roland products.

These demo tunes were all written and performed in under a week's time with the help of a talented friend, Brian Hooper.

click on the following titles to hear the tunes

DoDoDoDoo

UK_Blooze

The tunes titled "UK Blooze" and "Surfbrat " demo the VG-8 Virtual Guitar with midi backup instrumentation using the Roland S-770 digital sampler.

The tunes titled "CajunStrat" and "SickGypsy" are both created using my looped samples thru a single Roland MS-1

The tunes titled "DoDoDoDoo", "Downhome", "HeyHeyMercy" and "Ricky12 Rock" were created using the Roland S-770 sampler with the samples I developed and marketed through Roland, Japan.
