Shot at Bake's Place in Bellevue WA on New Year's Eve featuring Nearly Dan.
I was eager to evaluate the Sony camera and compare the results to my existing camera setup.
The resultant images do have a bit more detail but at a price tag of $4000 for a camera body that does not include any lenses, I think I am getting good enough quality from my current camera gear.
That said, it was totally worth the $125 rental fee to make use of the camera and while I was struggling to learn how to use it on the spot, I think some of the images are pretty nice in spite of the steep learning curve.
Thank you to the always fun and stellar Nearly Dan members and Craig Baker of Bake's for
allowing me to shoot these photos. The onstage energy and professionalism of the front line really makes it a pleasure to shoot photos of the band.
And once again just to make clear, these photos are for the most part unprocessed.
Meaning the color of the skin tones are not corrected so most of what you see here will have
faces with at greenish or pinkish tinge depending on what color stage lights and video projection effects that Craig Baker has deployed. The lights are ever changing and constantly in motion.
